AAP Foundation Annual Meeting Recap 2025
A Strong Showing of Support at the 2025 Annual Meeting
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the AAP Foundation booth in Toronto. Our Planting Seeds for the Future theme offered a visual reflection on the role we each play in strengthening the specialty. Watching the canopy fill with symbolic maple seeds from campaign supporters was a clear reminder of how today’s investments in periodontology strengthen the teaching, research, and care that shape tomorrow.
During the meeting, colleagues stopped by to connect, participate in the Silent Auction, and join Foundation-supported programs including the AAP/AAP Foundation Awards Ceremony, the Ambassador Breakfast, the Future Horizons session from past award recipients on AI, and the Practice Transition and Estate Planning Breakfast. The steady stream of visitors and the conversations we had spoke to the shared purpose that connects us all. That support was reflected in the generosity shown throughout the week, and we are grateful to share that $89,633.23 was raised through contributions, pledges, and the Silent Auction during the meeting.
In addition, the Foundation extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Marc Nevins, Dr. Yoshihiro Ono, and the host committee for the Celebration of Teaching, Mentorship, and Friendship Honoring Dr. Myron Nevins. This extraordinary event raised more than $400,000 from 34 sponsors and more than 200 attendees, with net proceeds shared equally between the AAP Foundation and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
