PerioDash Recap 2025
PerioDash 2025 and New Resources for Participants
PerioDash continued to bring the periodontal community together this year with 527 participants across 23 states, Canada, and Japan. Practice teams, residents, and individual runners organized their own events and helped raise awareness of periodontal disease, the importance of treating it, and the dedicated specialists who can help.
To help participants carry the message forward, the Foundation launched a new PerioDash Participant Resource webpage. The page includes spotlight Q&As from different types of participants, educational handouts, talking points, and a social media toolkit. It also offers customized press releases for teams interested in sharing their local event with community news outlets.
Groups shared photos, stories, and reflections about how they made PerioDash their own, from practice fun runs to school-based gatherings. Each example underscored the spirit of connection and advocacy that has defined PerioDash since its start.
Thank you to everyone who participated this year and supported the AAP Foundation’s mission to foster education, research, and advocacy in periodontology. We invite you to explore the new resource page and share it with others who may want to take part next year.
