Ways to Attend the Annual Meeting
Remember, the meeting in Seatle is taking place Thursday, October 29 – Sunday, November 1, 2026, so make your travel plans accordingly!
If you prefer to fly, Seattle is accessible from Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and major carriers include, Aer Lingus, Aero México, Air Canada, Air France, Alaska Airlines, AMC (Air Mobility Command) American Airlines, ANA, Asiana Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Condor, Delta, Eidelweiss, Emirates, EVA Air, Finnair, Frontier Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Icelandair, Japan Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Philippine Airlines, Qatar Airways, SAS, Singapore Airlines, Southwest Airlines, STARLUX Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Volaris and WestJet.
You can take the Link light rail to and from the airport. It is just a 38-minute ride from downtown Seattle. Check to see which light rail station is closest to you with Sound Transit’s trip planner, then purchase a ticket from the ticket machines, use an ORCA card or download the Transit GO Ticket app. Alternatively, King County Metro bus makes trips to and from Seattle via International Boulevard (State Highway 99) and South 176th Street by the SeaTac/Airport Link Light Rail station. You can use King County Metro’s Trip Planner tool to find bus routes. Just take the walkway through the north end of the fourth floor of the Airport Parking Garage to the Sound Transit Link Light Rail Station and exit to International Boulevard. You can exit to International Boulevard via the elevator or stairs on the west side of the station. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are also available to and from SeaTac to downtown Seattle.
If you like to travel by train, depending on your location, Amtrak may be an option. Check for routes that travel to Seattle’s King Street Station.
Seattle is accessible via six major highways: Interstate 5 (I-5), Interstate 90 (I-90), Interstate 405 (I-405), State Route 520 (SR 520), US Route 2 (US2), and State Route 99 (SR 99).
The AAP official room block includes five properties that are all within walking distance of the Seattle Convention Center (Arch) located at 705 Pike Street, Seattle WA 98101. The official hotels include the Hyatt Regency Seattle, the Sheraton Grand Seattle, Paramount Hotel, Grand Hyatt Seattle, and Olive-8 Seattle. Why book in the AAP room block?
- The Academy works secures special rates for members that are not available if you book outside the block.
- If there are issues with your reservation or hotel, the Academy’s official housing provider, Maritz, can assist at any point in the process.
- You can still earn points with your preferred hotel chain if you book in the room block.
- Unlike other booking sources, AAP’s hotel blocks have very lenient change and cancellation policies, to allow you to adjust your travel as needed.
AAP members, do you know a dentist who is not a member of the AAP who could benefit from attending the Annual Meeting? Once you register you can provide your colleague with a special one-time use link on your email confirmation so they can register as a sponsored non-member dentist/periodontist at a special rate. Also, for members, be sure to renew your membership prior to signing up and advanced rates will be in effect until Oct. 27, 2026.
Dental hygienists can register in one of three ways:
1. Full Dental Hygienist Registration (access to all non-ticketed courses and the exhibit hall) for USD$658 if you register prior to Oct. 27, 2026.
2. Dental Hygiene Symposium only (with access to the exhibit hall) for USD$185.
3. Full Dental Hygienist Registration with the Dental Hygiene Symposium for USD$793 (a USD$50 discount) if you register prior to Oct. 27, 2026.
There is an array of ticketed courses that could benefit you or your staff:
1) There are two sedation courses available this year for $65 each: EV1: Sedation Part 1 and EV2: Sedation Part 2.
2) AAP Journals Workshop is complimentary, but seating is limited to be sure to secure your ticket in advance.
3) The Corporate Forum sessions do not require a ticket, but are open to all meeting attendees on Wednesday, Thursday, October 29, 2026.
