Do you want to connect with dental hygienists in your local area? Expand your network and position yourself as a periodontal expert by becoming an AAP Dental Hygiene Study Club host! As a Study Club host, you get access to a slate of resources to help facilitate a Dental Hygiene Study Club in your local area.
Study Club resources include video modules to use as the main presentation during your meetings, best-practice resources on how to build and sustain a successful dental hygiene study club, invitation templates, and promotional materials, all designed to make hosting a dental hygiene study club easy for you, the Study Club host.

Our new module, Soft Tissue Needs and Management and its Deficiencies Around Dental Implants is out now! This interactive module is presented by Dr. Lorenzo Tavelli and provides a comprehensive and clinically focused review of peri-implant soft tissue conditions, diagnosis, and the need for soft tissue augmentation at implant sites. Stay tuned for another module on infection control coming soon!
CE Fees
Study Club hosts have the option to cover CE fees for their Study Club attendees.
Here’s how it works:
- Study Club subscribers can request a coupon code unique to their event to share with their hygienist attendees who will use it when completing the CE elements associated with the Study Club.
- Study Club subscribers who take advantage of this new feature will be billed quarterly for each hygienist who uses their unique code.
Log in to your Study Club host profile on dentalhygiene.perio.org to request a coupon code!
Renewals
Study Club hosts who need and to renew their subscription will be notified by the AAP via email. Subscriptions can be renewed online by logging into your profile on perio.org or by contacting the AAP at 312-787-5518.
