Coming soon: Clinical Advances in Periodontics supplement on microsurgery

An exciting new issue on microsurgery will be published in the coming weeks in Clinical Advances in Periodontics (CAP). Offered as a supplement to the regular March issue, this highly focused content will highlight the latest advances and research in the field of microsurgery as it applies to periodontics and implant dentistry.

The supplement was organized by CAP Co-Editor Dr. Diego Velásquez with support from CAP Co-Editor Dr. Flavia Pirih and Editor-in-Chief Dr. Effie Ioannidou, and will include an array of timely articles – many with videos – featuring original research and clinical applications, along with papers focusing on technology, education, and non-surgical technical skills. A foreword/editorial from AAP Master Clinician award recipient Dr. Leonard S. Tibbetts will introduce the issue and provide a historical overview of the development of periodontal microsurgery.

“It has been exciting putting this supplement together. We have an excellent showcase of papers written by pioneers, master clinicians, and rising stars who are all passionate about microsurgery,” Dr. Velásquez said. “I’m particularly thrilled that we’re including a section on non-surgical technical skills, which many consider to be the next frontier in microsurgery.”
