Social Media Superstars
With the 2025 AAP Annual Meeting having wrapped up, the time has come to crown our top three Social Media Superstars: Dr. Saynur Vardar (@drsaynurvardar), Dr. Teresa Chanting Sun (@drsunperiolove), and Dr. David T. Wu (@davidwu.dmd).
These three individuals were the most active on social media throughout the meeting in Toronto, sharing their educational experiences, fun selfies, and allowing folks at home to get a glimpse into the live action from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
As we often say, the AAP Annual Meeting is the hub for learning, networking, and connection. It allows face-to-face connections to blossom, but the Academy also wants to open the door for further connections to be built once the meeting is over. Whether you couldn’t be there or you were there (but of course could not meet everybody), social media platforms provide the opportunity to find a face you may have missed and connect with somebody new. We recognize these individuals for not only their activeness on social media, but their courage to put themselves out there in front of the world.
Thank you to everyone else who shared their experiences during the Annual Meeting and used the #PerioAM25 hashtag with their story posts and regular posts. We enjoyed seeing your creativity, and we look forward to seeing more at next year’s 112th AAP Annual Meeting in Seattle.
